Hi,

I acquired this uncirculated 1973 $1 test note from a bank.
On close inspection under bright light, this note appears to have a shiny varnish coating on it.
This is most noticeable on the front bottom margin of the note where the varnish appears to be unevenly applied.
The varnish also appears on the back of the note, with a similar uneven application near the bottom edge of the note.

Is there any record of exactly what was tested on these notes when they were issued?

Thanks,
Dean.
