Further to my previous finds of small B's in the 1973 $1 banknotes, I re-examined the 6 bundles of 1973 $1 notes I got from a collection dump in the Ottawa Valley where I found a small BCP and 2 small BCT's which were posted earlier in this section of the Forum.  I discovered a small BFG $1 banknote which could be the first reported small B for this series of prefixes for these $1 banknotes.

I posted the image of this banknote and compared it to the image of the big B for the same prefix of BFG.

No doubt, there are more and we need to keep on looking through all the $1 banknotes to determine what are the prefixes and the range of the small B prefixes.

Enjoy the image and keep on searching!!

Best regards, Whitenite

Hi Whitenite,
I'm happy someone except me and Dean take attention on that variety. You do not realized how many 1$ 1973 and 2$ 1986 I look through. For now I realized it's more easy to found 2$ 1986 for large''B'' than the 1$ 1973!
If you want to sell it let me know or at Dean.
Thank you again for the information.

Claude

Hi Claude,

Thanks for the post, your English is getting better, I wish that I could write in French as well as you write in English.

I will let you know if I decide to sell the small B $1 banknotes.  I have 1 small BCP, 2 small BCT's (sequential numbers) and now the BFG.

We need to get this information into the Charlton Catalogue as there could be more floating around.

Merci, Whitenite

this variety is reported in the catalogue at page 283

Please tell me what the book says?

Is it just a harmless prefix-kix or do I live for that next prefix-fix?

Hi Hunter,
This variety I repoted it in the catalogue last year but it's to early to have range or prefix with this variety because we do not have many information.I put this information in catalogue to see if the poeple take attention with this,I think the only way to have more information it's maybe put a value on it???Not enought poeple be interest on that.
