I've noticed recently, a lot of banks hand out Bird 50s. And I mean a lot of them. Teller drawers normally are 90% Bird $50 notes. ATM machines only give Bird $50s.
Anyone know what's going on? I had quite a bit of trouble finding Journey $50s to take with me for my vacation in the Far East.
I had to run to at least 10 bank branches today accross Mississauga in a desperate attempt to find 100 Journey $50s. Unfortunately, I only got my hands on 40 of them.
The other unfortunate thing was, RBC branches, BMO branches and TD branches use those machines, so they don't have any control over the notes that are spat out.
But I have noticed that Bird $100s have pretty much disappeared from circulation.
