No relation to Jonathan.  My last name is Hannaford.  Besides, I had no plans to write a poem.  In fact, I have never read any of his poems yet.  

Is that all it took to scare her off? sheesh She even winked at the end of her post. Have I missed something here?

Well, the Journey 20's will celebrate their 1st anniversary in circulation on September 29th, so there's still time for some of us to come up with poetic tributes.

What type of poetry do you like?  Sonnets, haiku, tanka, couplets, limericks?

I like limericks myself, but it's hard to compose an offcolour or raunchy limerick about a $20 bill.  How 'bout this one:

There was a young barmaid from Wales,
On whose bust were the prices of ale,
Whilst on her behind,
For the sake of the blind,
Was precisely the same, but in braille.

Well, thank you Skylark!  However I'm sure BWJM will soon be telling you, "For God's sake, don't encourage him!"

Relax BWJM, I can't think of any more limericks...at the moment...and in case we've been getting off topic - well, we're allowed to - we ARE celebrating the one-year anniversary of the new 20's being unveiled, so it should be a festive, merry occasion!
