It's a very nice phony note you got, Rusty. It's very similar to mine I found few months ago (see my post about QXE note). The overall quality seems good enough to pass quite easily in most places (especially where there is not a strong light as in bars and discotheques).
Is your note have anything which could look like as a watermark there is absolutely a blank zone? Have you looked at your note under a longwave UV light? Is the resolution good enough to read the plate position numbers?
I think that the new security features are a kind of challenge for the really good fakers and they're trying to make the best phony note. One day, they will certainly be able to put good looking waternarks and security threads...
Maybe it's time to the BOC to think for the next serie and it would be a great idea to switch to polymer notes, as in Australia and New-Zealand. Now, these countries have pratically no more counterfeited notes, since the polymer used isn't commercial...
