Dominion of Canada 25 cent note. D25 - 66055

Can anyone help me with this note?  It is signed by C.E. Campbell, Comptroller of Currency and W.C. Clark POA Minister of Finance.  It is dated Ottawa, July 2, 1923

Any help would be appreciated.

Well, im not exactly sure what you want to know about this particular issue... You've got the last issue of the 25 cent note. They were very common back in the days. Still today only those in very nice grades carry good premium. Those in low grade still dont carry that much value.

Your note can be worth $6 or $275. Its all about the grade of the note. The values are as followed: $6 in G, $8 in VG, $12 in F, $25 in VF, $75 in EF, $150 in AU, and $275 in UNC.

The "D series" brings no extra value to the note as all Campbell-clark 25 cent issues are very common.

I think the D that you are refering to is the Check letter. This means that your note was the 4th note (out of 10) in the sheet #660555. All check letters should be equally common since there was one of each on a sheet...

          i have a 1923 .25 note but it was not signed by the "comptroller of currency" and the "minister of finance" it was singed by the "comptroller of currency" and the "deputy minister of finance" does this make it worth more or less or does it not matter.

Yes. You have a note that is signed either Hyndman-Saunders or McCavour-Saunders. Both of these varieties on the bottom right side it will be written "Deputy minister of finance". If you have the signature Campbell-Clark (the latest and final 25 cent variety) for some reason deputy is gone and is only written "For minister of finance".
