Theoretically speaking, how much would a Beattie/Rasminsky $1000 Devil's face in UNC be worth.....
Let's say, somebody used the wrong face plate on a batch/sheets of $1000 notes, using the Devil Face plate, not the modified one. (I'm talking about the signatures that are letterpressed/added later to the bill, not the Beattie/Rasminsky notes where it is engraved right on the printing plate.) They were printed and cut, but discovered the error only after the notes were shipped out to a major bank, i.e. in Toronto. Immediately, the CBNC/BOC issued an urgent memo to return the notes to the BOC for destruction. But before the bank got the memo, a couple of notes slipped into circulation, i.e. a customer requested a few $1000 notes at that main branch and they gave out a couple of the new shipment of $1000 notes they just received in error. How much do you figure, that note would be worth? Also, the notes weren't counted yet at the bank, so the note didn't even have a counting creases. How would you value such a note?
