Ladder radar/ Ladder notes

I was wondering if anyone knew as to why in the Charlton, an ascending/descending ladder radar is worth more than a consecutive ladder note?

There are a maximum 16 a/d radars in 10 million notes, where as with a consecutive ladder there is only a maximum of 10.

I would assume that a consecutive ladder is also more desireable.

You may be correct about the rarity and status of the ascending (1234567) or descending (7654321) ladder.  I think the discrepancy in BV might be more a factor of the number of radar collectors who'd buy an ascending-descending radar (1234321) vs the number of special number specialists who'd buy the ladder.   Some buyers may be more comfortable buying a double rarity  (radar + ascending/descending ladder) than just the singular ladder.   I d buy either..

I agree 100% with walktothewater one thing you missed the book is just a guide line lets not forget the  ascending-descending radar (1234321) book at $400 but really normal sell for $300 at auction well, over ebay. Where ladders (1234567) only book at $325? I would way rather have a ladder then a ladder/radar. Just my thoughts.

The last C&P auction in summer or spring had quite a few ladders, ascending, descending, and ascending descending.
I believe the ascending and descending ladders did better than the ascending descending radars. Myself, I would prefer the ascedning or descending note more.

As far as collectibility goes, I would definitely have to agree with Archey, and canadianpaper. A consecutive ladder is much more appealing to me, than a ascending/descending ladder radar.

I'm a little more biased to the descending/Ascending variety myself, I would have thought the ladder notes would be more popular than the radar version. Now I would like to someday get my hands on a straight ladder note as well.

And for your numismatic pleasure. My only one, from a random brick back when I actually had the time and cash on my hands.
