I am trying to find out as much as possible about an 1887 $1 Dominion of Canada note that I found in a book at my grandmother's home. It's in pretty good shape, no holes, no major tears, it does have some evidence that it was folded a few times. The corners aren't missing, they are just folded over and I left them that way for fear of them breaking off if I unfolded them. Any information regarding this note would be helpful.
Thanks!
Your note is catalogued as DC-8f-i. It is a Dominion of Canada 1878 $1 note marked Payable at Toronto.
In that condition, I would say it would be worth perhaps $135 (G) to $325 (VG).
