2 digit radar $50 in EF+AU sell for $150!!!!

This seem like a lot for a 2 digit radar cause I just got a  $100 off ebay 2 digit radar for under $100 lol but this note is sell on ebay for $150! with 3 days to go!!! It books at $110 in UNC!!!  :-? :-?

This could be true. But it would have to be 2 collectors looking for the same number to make it over $40 book.

Some sellers rely on the "lowest common denominator" or the lack of knowledge out there...and often they capitalize on this.  Remember the Gold flag?  That's why I wrote a review on manufactured error notes and on special numbers because too many sellers make erroneous claims, or list with starting prices that are %50- %100 mark ups.  Unfortunately I can't think of a review that can educate people about over-inflated starting bids.

As well, we all know about the couple individuals who seem to be trying to force the market on Radars to INSANELY high prices. I can only pray no one actually buys any of the notes  at these prices. It will take another 20 years for them to recover their investments.  

I am also VERY happy there was a crackdown about the "Gold Flag" and "Polarbear" notes that were going like wildfire....   :-/
After that they couldn't even give the notes away!  

The Gold Flag and Polar Bear notes stopped because many of us here on this forum educated people about them. I collect RADARs myself, I bought a nice three digit and a shoulder note for far less than the cost of the note we are refering too here. Unfortunately the market will decide, people will pay too much (makes my current stock worth more), but it will correct itself in time when they go to re sell or check with the Guide, o ask someone who does know. If only we could put a link to this forum from the site where this all takes place. I'm glad I found this site early on when I first got started collecting notes. I did pay more than I should've for a few notes, but live and learn.

Also, it's a strange bidding pattern - a classic see-saw by two newbies, one of whom has been bidding heavily on 'inserts' and radars recently.  When the bid goes over $200, we will lose the transparency of the bid process.
