BC-21d 1937 Coyne-Towers $1 4 digit radar

Hi all. I just picked up this 1937 $1 radar note and was wondering how much it might be worth. Note is AU, any markings are on the holder.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Based on the current 2007 19th Edition catalogue, a 1937 $1 3- or 4-digit radar in UNC is valued at
CDN $200. Using an 80% multiplier for an AU grade, this note would have a catalogue value of CDN $160.

As high grade 1937 radars are not very common, I would suspect that you could realize a higer sale
price for this note from a fancy number collector.

Thanks for the quick reply. I paid $80 for this and I don't plan on parting with it anytime soon. I am trying to get at least one radar note from each series of Canadian banknotes.

Consecutives become very desirable when you have the two actual changeover notes, eg two consecutive notes with different signatures. You can find these with foreign currency but I have yet to see them available with Canadian notes.

I'm not sure what this has to do with a 1937 radar but two consecutive notes with different signatures (changeover notes) are withheld for the National currency museum and can be seen in Ottawa there. I think that they keep the last two and the first two of each signature.
