Hello all.  Not sure if this is common knowledge already, but I thought it may be interesting to SOMEONE in the forum.  The following is a response from the Bank of Canada to an inquiry I made a while back:

Sincere apologies for the delay with which I am responding to your e-mail dated march 19th.

There are two companies printing the new $100 Canadian Journey series bank note.  They are: the Canadian Bank Note Company and BA international.  Information about prefix letters corresponding to each company remains classified for 6 months after the note issue.

I hope this information will be useful to you and thank you for your interest in Canadian currency.

Regards,

Au contraire...

I knew it was difficult to get such information out of the Bank, but I did not know specific timelines as to when such information could become public.

Thanks Kelly for your post!
