As part of a research project that I am working on with Hudson, I would like to request that anyone who has access to blocks of notes please send me scans of the block labels. Doesn't matter what denomination. Please include the serial numbers of the notes in each block, and the date that the block was obtained from your bank.

Any questions, please PM me. Thanks!

Are you meaning the band that is around each 100 notes or something else?

From what I've heard around, a block is 4 bricks (4x1000  :o) strapped together. Also, from what I've heard, the average bank has around $2 000 000 in lump-sum cash. Therefore, they should have tons of blocks...

A block of...

$5 = $20 000
$10 = $40 000
$20 = $80 000
$50 = $200 000
$100 = $400 000  :o

Correct, a "block" = 4 "bricks" = 40 "bundles" = 4,000 notes.

My parents aren't nice to me [and won't get me blocks], but if I tell them someone else needs them, it's a different story.

For reference purposes, this is what block labels look like from two different blocks of $5 notes:

Arthur, were those two labels found on blocks containing AOW3584000-3587999 and AOW5232000-5235999 respectively?

Can you please forward to me any other block labels you have including what notes they contained? Thanks!

PS: Those labels are precisely what I'm looking for. Anyone who has access to them, please send me the numbers from the label (scan preferably) and the serial numbers of the notes in the block. Thanks!

Thanks for the post Arthur:  That helps me out to see what they look like. And that was something I had never seen before...

Unfortunately I don't see myself  gettting any blocks, but I would like to own a few of these labels, if anyone has any to spare, I'll send you a few bucks or an SASE.  Pm me if you have any to spare.

Thanks, Matt
