I would like some information regarding the history and  value of a note.  I will describe as best I can as some of the writing is illegible.

No____________     Yorkton, NWT________1_____________
To the Union Bank of Canada
Pay " The Globe Savings & Loan Company Toronto or Bearer
42.25_____________________________________ Dollars
I am unable to read the signature at the bottom.

On the side of the note is a gray shadowed area with the intials UBof C

Do you have a scan or this note?

The signature may not matter as much on a note like this but the date and condition or your note will be a huge factor in determining the price.

It appears from the description above that this is not a banknote but a cancelled bank cheque.

Does it look somewhat like the attached image ?
