Don't mean to bore you guys with this note again, already posted
here. Maybe my eyes are betraying me, but I'm at a loss to find a back plate number. Does anyone have a 1937 $50 handy who can point out where this number should be found specifically?
My records show that a different (higher numbered) Gordon-Towers $50 that I no longer have
did have a back plate number. All other Gordon- or Coyne-Towers 1937 notes do have back plate numbers as far as I've seen. Is this anything unusual??
For those forum members lucky enough to own a 1937 $50 Ozzie, do those have a back plate number?
I know I'm splitting hairs, but it's always fun to learn more about the minutest of varieties in these beautiful artifacts. As mentioned in the Charlton, there are all sorts of aspects to these older notes that have yet to be researched.
