Were there a series of notes that didnt make it to circulation that were printed? Something like they were printed in Jan, but had a printing flaw and never went into circulation. Thanks for any input.

Nope.  The Bank of Canada was preparing for a new series featuring Edward VIII in 1936, but the 1935 series was the first issue of the Bank of Canada. The Dominion of Canada had stopped their note issues with the last one dated 1925 (Queen Mary $5).
