To me it looks purple, maybe bronze. Looking at the latest Charelton Cat. I can't figure this one out, help please.

Would you grade this as a VF?

It is a 1923 $1 McCavour-Saunders, Bronze Seal, Group 2, Series B (DC-25i)

Thanks that has helped I went over it with my coin dealer and we could he could not nail it down either ???

I ended up with it for less than $50 which I thought fair.
