This is off topic... would anyone know if the RCM minted for circulation 2006P Cents? I have seen the 2006 Cents and i have seen 2006L (RCM Logo) but never found 2006P.

I'd have to check my records, but I believe off the top of my head that they didn't.  The 1 cent didn't see much of the "P" mint mark leading up to the use of the RCM logo starting in "07" I believe.

According to Charlton, the RCM minted 137,500,000 of 2006P 1 Cent. But the question is if they ever even hit circulation. I searched through hundreds of cents yet i haven't found a single one.

Some people on other forum told that they have found some in circulation, but after looking true hundreds of coin I never found one. I personally think that they were never release in circulation and can only be obtain from set.

This is what makes it difficult. What i think is that a small portion was circulated and they are very scarce. Yet no one seems to know the answer. Perhaps you might be right eti1, they could only be obtained by sets. But then charlton says they were circulated so i really don't know.  So far i went through a thousand pennies, i have not found one yet... should i keep looking?  :-\

Hello;
They did issue 2006P 1 cent coins into circulation.  The number of coins that I've been told is 231,000 coins.  I have a mint issued roll i bought last year and i paid $400.00 for the original roll.  I have seen them on E*** quit often for $15.00 per coin and $350.00 - $800.00 per roll.  Hope this helps.

Thanks for the above information. I checked some websites and there are 2006P rolls listed for $500, and a single MS-60 is priced around $8.50 VS $0.50 for most other recent years, so i guess it does mean they are available, they were circulated but in very very small quantities. Anyway my question is answered. This thread can now be closed.
