1923 DOC Canoe Patch

Just received my first Large Size Dominion note. 1923, $1, Campbell/Clark, VG-F. Looking at it I thought to myself, if you boil up sum pine gum, mix in a little ash, you could patch your canoe with it. So I dub the large size Dominion notes, to be known as from here on then............"Canoe Patches".

Ive also heard them being referred to as "Horse Blankets"

On this topic the Banque Dhochelaga 1914 series has some of the largest chartered notes I have seen.

Do you know what their dimensions are?

unfortunately I sold my example of the 1914 Banque D'Hochelaga $10 before taking the exact measurements but I took a look on the currency museum and the following is listed

1923 Dominion $1
Horz = 180 mm
Vert = 84 mm

1914 D'Hochelaga $10
Horz = 191 mm
Vert = 83 mm

That is one large note
