Recycled serial number matching sets

Now that so many old $1 and $2 prefixes have been reissued on Journey notes, it's theoretically possible to find two different notes with matching serial numbers.  For example, a 1973 $1 and 2006 $5 with serial AAB2435012.  I understand the chances of two such notes turning up together in the same owner's hands are pretty remote.  But has anyone ever seen it?

I have yet to find any...  The best way would for someone to record all known old notes (impossible) so they could check it on a list when they find new bricks.

I did that sort of a few years ago, and did manage to find matching NUMBER sets (like just a couple), but that was it. And it took like a year of solid data collecting. Worth it? No, but definitely fun to chase. :-)

Yes I have found a few pairs like this over my 1000s of bricks lol.

But finding them with the same prefix letters is where it gets crazy. :-)

I like the older 1937- 1954 bills as they shared the same prefixes.

Here's a pair I have withe the same serial #2580395
The prefix is only off by 1 letter the '54 is V/M the '37 is U/M.
The interesting part for what ever reason the "V" was not used in any of the '37 notes.

Anyone know why??
