1954 $1000 canadian bill

We have a 1954 $1000 canadian bill.  I think it's in great condition (however I am not a collector so wouldn't know) it has a small fold across the middle like it's been bent in half at some point, there is no crease mark just a slight bend in the paper and one tiny crease at one of the corners, other than that there is no fading or anything.  It is serial # AK1740752 and is signed by RW Lawson, just wondered if it is worth anything?  Thanks in advance for any information anyone can give me.

From the description, sounds like an EF. This is the most common $1,000 note the bank of canada has ever issued that is with the Lawson-Bouey signature. Today, they're still not worth much, in EF $1,150 at best. However when sold, these particular notes in circulated condition  often go for only around face value.
