Counterfeit $5 bills have been found in the West Island area of Montreal.

Just goes to show that sometimes people aren't quite as greedy as others. It almost certainly still costs far less than $5 for the counterfeiter to make one of these notes. I suppose they thought that the smaller denominations are less likely to be examined carefully (which is probably true).

I wonder how good these ones are...

yeah pretty bad job at reporting. Hopefully more info will show up
