I can see why the new prefixes have been slowly coming my way.
I can also see why the "Printed in 2008" era had much fewer notes printed.
I can also see why there were far fewer $5 prefixes out may way during 2008 and beyond. It's a wonder I've been seeing the same AO* and earlier AP* prefixes for some time now and they seem to be holding up well. The banks probably have no real need to order bricks of new $5 bills (except for the bigger branches).
And I can also see why all the other provinces are well into the "Printed in 2009" era, and I have yet to see APY, APZ, AAA, and AAB (I did see a couple of AAC's, though). The "Printed in 2009" era will eventually see light in my province sooner or later - probably after the winter dry spell ends by March or April 2010. But for now, I can just bet the new prefix that will see light during the Christmas season will be APY, then they'll likely skip over APZ, AAA, and AAB for my province.
