1898 Dominion of Canada $1 BC-13b - Is there a grade lower than G?

Here's my latest pickup. I think I got a good price for it but I would like to know what you guys would value this at? Yes its beat the hell but I like it =).

Is there a grade lower than G or is this just a really low grade G?

Yes, I agree with starman, it is considered a 'filler' .   So, this unofficial grade would be considered lower than "good".

That note certainly looks like it has travelled through many hands over the past decades!

Ok, so what value would you put on it? Pure sentimental value or maybe 20 or 30?

I'd say a range between $30 to $40.

The grades below "Good" are "Fair" and "Poor". In all but the rarest notes, these grades are not priced and are generally not collectible. Calling them "filler" and being happy to get whatever you can for them when you sell is about as good as you can hope for.
