I was doing a reno in my bsmt a few years ago and found a wallet in my ceiling space holding up a copper pipe. It had been sitting there since 1956. In the wallet was, among other things was 5 crisp 1954 $1 bills. serial #,s w/a 6101287 -88,89,90,91. The bills are crisp to the feel, but were folded, so they have bends but the the paper fibers are not broken. On 1 of the corners of the #91 bill there is a bend (tiny, but still a bend). I,m sure the bills are worth about a buck each, but because they are in succession, does that make them worth more? Also in the wallet was a 1954 $2 bill in the same pristine condition, corners perfect, color etc., and 2 Toronto TTC paper tickets face value 12 1/2 cents, and a 1954 $1 bill devils face T/C serial BA5248982, but it is not in the greatest of condition, I know if I take my bills to a dealer I will be offered a lowball evaluation, I don't need to sell them, but I'm curious as to what people think I may or may not have.
TIA, madman

since the bills have folds they'd likely be in EF condition. With that being said. the ones will be worth about $3 each, the devils 1$ is worth between $17-24.
The 2$ bill... serial number is required to determine the value... Generally a common $2 from 1954 Non devils in EF condition is worth around $4.

The notes are all fairly common, there would be no point in selling these notes to a dealer as you'd get little , if anything for them.

Hope this helps

Thank-you for the response. The $2 serial is IB9413374 and is also a C/B.

With that serial number, you have a modified $2 banknote but there were only 1.4 million produced with the modified portrait.  If the banknote is in fact EF, the book value is $165.00.  In VG condition, the I/B note is worth $35.00.  Nice note!   ;D

Thats a good note... if you are looking to sell, try using this site first, this particular note should grab the interest of some collectors  ;) If you can provide a scan for that note that would be great.
