I found this insert range on the Serial Number Database.
BTV   2007   0.080M-0.086M   Confirmed SNR Rep'l Range (GPM23)
and BTV0086087 was given to me in my change and it’s only 87 away from the SNR range. I don’t watch insert ranges and was wondering can the ranges expand after three years or longer?

Is it just a harmless prefix-kix or do I live for that next prefix-fix?

Insert ranges can expand as long as their are still bricks being released that hold those particular replacements. Their is no time frame for this as it's completely random.
