Since I am located in the United States, the shipping charge showed as $16.00, as did each of their other auctions. It may have shown $65.00 for shipping in Canada, but I would have never had reason to check that. It only showed one shipping charge - the way it was listed you would have to go to the shipping details and select another country to see the shipping for that country. It must default to display the shipping based on what country the viewer of the auction is registered in. $16.00 didn't sound too low for shipping to the United States; if anything it is on the higher end of the shipping scale, but not unreasonable.
Had the seller had sent me a communication after the auction ended saying, "Whoops, I meant to set the shipping to the United States at $65.00, but only changed it on Canada by mistake. Sorry.", I would have given them a pass.
Instead, they refunded my payment and sent an invoice which included a $100.00 shipping charge, saying they made a mistake plus, "if you want more4 just let me know ill charge you 55.00 per 50.00 bill and no extra shipping i have lots time to sell off my collection thanks."
I then asked politely, where they came up with the $100.00 amount for shipping.
Their reply was, "think about it i can take them to the bank and get face value furthe more i offerd you a good deal book value on these bills are 90 dollars plus for each bill."
I told them I really just wanted to complete the deal as transacted, or as a compromise, I would pay for one auction and they could keep the $50 from the other auction and I would leave them positive feedback.
Their reply was, "its resolved you got a refund and its all over im not santa clause and i dont do hand outs"
At that point I left them negative feedback and reported them to eBay.
Which brings me to my original post on here which asked for what condition someone thought these bills were in. I couldn't tell if they were UNC or AU. (Which BTW I still don't know, if someone wouldn't mind taking a look. Thanks.
