Seems like $1000 note has it the skids. No one wants to collect it. Will it ever be worth more than face value again?

If I were to collect notes with the expectation that they would increase in value over time, a common $1000 note is the last place I would park my cash.  They tend to actually lose value over time when inflation is factored in.

If you are refering to a 1954 Lawson-Bouey or a 1988 Thiessen-Crow EKA then no, it is quite doubtful that these particular issue will ever gain any value much over its face. There are just too many around and very little demand for these very high denominations. Also many collectors like myself would put $1,000 on say a *Z/Z or an *FB or *FH etc as these are very rare notes as to put $1,000 on a 1000 note which probably wont gain much value.

I definitely think it will have more than face value but there may be less demand than in the past.

Hm  Someone wants a little more than face on Ebay.   

I do not think that $1000 banknotes are a good investment.
They will never net any profit. Only collect them if it is for your own pleasure,
