I couldn't care less about TPG and I mean that with no disrespect to you Mmars. I have seen such gross exaggeration in grades that I do not trust anything that I can't see naked or touch. At times I have thought exactly what you are saying here. Along the lines of pick a grade and pay the price associated with that grade. For myself I feel I know what I know well. I won't pretend I know how to grade Circulated notes since I have no interest in such notes but when it comes to Unc++ notes I see so many of these regularly that I feel very confident in knowing the grade. Also I hate the large holders graded notes come in and to me it's $20+ for a holder. If I graded every note in my collection I could by another car.

Anyways, I got carried away here, sorry.
