I had the chance to get 100 consecutive BKA notes today. All the notes had a serial number starting with 257XXXX and I found in that bundle BKA 2715156 and BKA 2715600. I only kept the first one.

Does anyone else has found insert BKA in the same serial number range ?

Since it's the first time I find an Insert note, I prefer to wait to be sure that this note is really a replacement before I decide if I keep it.

Where in the bundle were they? (ie: between what two notes in the 257xxxx range?)  Can you be more specific as to the serial numbers of the rest of the bundle?

All I remember, is that both insert notes were not consecutive in the bundle. I didn't note the complete serial number of the regular notes in the bundle. Next time I find insert notes, I will be more precise in my description.

It would seem somewhat unlikely that these were insert notes. BABN usually inserts individual notes. The 2 notes you found are numbered 444 away from each other so the probability is that the notes were mixed up when recounting from bricks to bundles of 100. Its difficult to confirm inserts from a bundle of 100 so you should hold on to your note until an isert range has been confirmed from a full brick.

In my experience, I have found insert notes only between the 000 and 001 notes, and between 500 and 501 notes.  All inserts have been consecutively numbered.  Where I found some between the first set of notes, I found an equal number of inserts, numbered exactly 500 from the first ones, between the second pair of notes.

Eg: Just this week, I went through a brick of 1,000 HNT $5s.  There was a single HNR insert (HNR 9146412) between 000 and 001, and there was a second HNR insert (HNR 9146912), between 500 and 501.  [NB: I've got the radar from the HNTs, but I don't have the number at the moment.  If I remember later, I'll post it when I get home.]

Brent,

Would appreciate you modifying your last post to include the  numbers of the HNT brick and the pair of HNR inserts.

Thanks.

Has anyone found any insert notes in the BJZ - BKF series ?  ???

I might spend the one I found soon if it doesn't fit in the ranges that have been found.  :-/
