Time to kick the hornet's nest again... This has to be the worst Uncirculated note I have ever seen.  And that's in spite of the overexposure in the images below.  Goodness knows what this note looks like with the right balance of contrast (or in hand, for that matter).  I do not own the note and I did not make the images.  Enjoy!

It's kind of like the "NEW" used car concept.

Hey mmars,

Instead of starting a new thread every time you want to "kick the hornet's nest", why not just make one thread and post them all there.  "mmars's overgraded TPG notes thread" or some such.  It would certainly cut down on the number of threads on this topic.

I agree, this is certainly not an UNC note, and it should had some comments written on the holder.

The following note is not uncirculated but it has obvious defects that do not appear to have influenced the overall grade, similar to the note above.

I actually bought this note because there are only 4 in my census and 2 of those are in the Bank of Canada museum collection.

The VF20 (tears, holes, writing) grade is obviously not a net grade. Using the standard international grading system (net grading), this note should be graded several grades below VF, in my opinion. Even if you ignore the faults and just look at the paper quality (folds, wrinkles), it would barely be VF.

What confuses me is that BCS is supposedly using the Canadian standard grading system which I believe to be net?
