While going though some circulated 5s I came across this note.  This is something new that I have not seen before.  Can anyone confirm that this is an error?  This is an HPN note and all the rest were Axx notes.  Might this have something to do with it.

The 2 smaller hockey players and the lady skating with her child are both missing some colour on their sweater and pants.

I can't see any missing ink... maybe a scan next to a normal note would make what you're referring to clearer?

Good eye ShareB.   never noticed this....after looking at various HPx notes I have saved they are the same as yours....my guess it's the the printer....also noticed that the ink in general seems lighter on these notes.

Thanks for the confirmation.  So this looks like a bunch of notes that have a difference in the printing.  Could you post your serial numbers here.

I am going to edit the picture later today with another "normal" note beside it and post it later today.

I am sure that this would be considered a variety.

Personally I don't see it as being significant.



Always looking for #1 serial number notes in any denomination/any series
