I am assuming that this is just a tellers stamp from the bank worth $1

I figured out how to add pictures to give a better idea of what it looks like; it's the bill with the pink stamp.

I used to bank at that bank when I was a student!  That branch of bank closed down back around 1998-1999.  I believe that there is an Eye glass store at the same location.

Sorry, you note is not worth a premium (maybe even less because of the stamp).

Good thing I didn't get my hopes up; thanks for the info.

Maybe there's something a little more promising in with the others.

I am going to do a valuation of each note without referring to the catalogue.  This is typical of what a dealer would do, using knowledge of what these notes could sell for...

1   N/Y1806921   1954   VF   Beattie/Rasminsky  $2-$3
1   D/I7733835   1954   F   Lawson/Bouey  $1-$2

So I guess I'm safe to assume that the notes are worth sligtly more than you listed, as dealers value them knowing they want to make a profit as well

I have provided you with evaluations of what I think they could fetch for sale, not catalogue prices, not dealer buy prices.  I have some experience in selling notes, so this is what I use as the basis for my evaluations.  Free of charge, I might add.  8)
You're welcome.

That's great, really appreciate all the help, especially considering the quantity of notes.

Thanks again.

I'm having a bit of a hard time spotting the "devil's face" in the queen's hair.

Is it only certain serial numbers that have the face?

Can you tell by my pictures if any of the queen's have it?

Thanks

From looking at your pics I do not believe any are devil face notes

Thanks, I guess that's why I was struggling to see the face, because it wasn't on any of my bills..  :-\

Is there any value in holding onto notes for longer periods of time?

Or is what they are worth today essentially their value indefinitely (within reason)?

No. These notes will never really increase in value as they are very common notes and not really looked for by collectors.
