What is the correct spelling?

Bank Note    or    Banknote

Wikipedia entry for banknote has it spelt as banknote. WordCheck.net has it spelt both ways: bank note and banknote. Although most online references have it as bank note.

Bank of Canada uses   Bank Note
I go with them :)

I'd also go with spelled, but I'm an editor.
Spelt is a grain.
And for those inclined to comment, this is not a critique, nor am I trying to be a jerk....

We are getting off topic here, but there's nothing wrong with spelt (or spilt or burnt).  Even Fowler uses it - as an alternative to spelled, not the grain.
