The "famous five" will be retired when the new $50 bills come out and some people are unhappy.  They seem to think that groundbreaking women are more important than ice breaking ships.   But what about the RCMP musical ride.... didn't they deserve a longer tenure on the $50 bill?

Yeah yeah...they should deal with it. The subject matter of the backs always changes with every series. Repeating the 1935 series backs doesn't count - they were in issue for less than two years when the 1937s came out.

It just makes the Journey 50's more collectable!   :D
The note had its time, now it's on to the next design...these people need to quit their whining.  IMO, the best design was that of the RCMP musical ride on the 1975 issue.  It blows away the Canadian Journey and the new Frontiers design too...

I agree they should get over it and move on. In my opinion the Musical Ride $50 was the best.
