A second great man in Ontario numismatics has been lost recently.  For anyone who is involved with their local coin club and/or the Ontario Numismatic Association, the name Tom Rogers should at least be familiar to you.

Tom served as President of the Ontario Numismatic Association and several other coin clubs in southwestern Ontario.  Tom was very active in running several of the ONA's annual conventions, although due to very poor health was unable to attend this year's.  Tom has been battling cancer for some time now and was recently hospitalized.  After just a short period in hospital, he passed away Saturday April 21.

Cremation has taken place.  A visitation will be held later this week in Woodstock, Ontario.  A private family service will follow.

For more information on Tom's visitation, please visit the funeral home's website for the obituary/notice and visitation details.

On behalf of the members and executive committee of the Ontario Numismatic Association, I thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers in regards to the late Tom Rogers.
