  No wonder I've had a tough time finding 2013 toonies.  I've found a couple but its nothing compared to all those 2013 loonies!    Thanks for posting the numbers 

Picked up $14 in nickels today and found the following coins:

One roll was completely composed of pre 1982 nickels!  Looks like someone emptied out their piggy bank...

Also got a brief glimpse of a 54 $1000.  The teller was JUST about to sell it to me but then the head teller gave her the standard line "we cannot circulate those anymore..."  I couldn't get the serial number before it was whisked away from me.  It looked to be an EF/AU BOUEY RASMINSKY note!

Also managed to salvage a multicoloured $1 and a roll of pennies form the bank when I picked up this batch. 

1942 is my oldest nickel found in a coin roll.   I hope to eventually come across a George V nickel or w war nickel some day.  The 1967 centennial rabbits are almost non-existent.  I wonder what happened to them all?

  Is the 1942 nickel made of tombac or nickel?  It was made in both metals that year.  The tombac one will be a brownish color and 12 sided while the nickel one will be grey and round.

No, the '42 is the plain old nickel variety.  A tombac version would have been quite the find!

I have only obtained TWO centennial rabbits since I started CRH nickels in January of this year.  I have found more 2000P nickels than I have '67 rabbits!

Regardless of what I get, CRH is still fun and there are lots of coins to be found out there!

I have on occasion gotten the 67 rabbit in my change and i have noticed that aswell that there doesn't seem to be many around even though it was a decent mintage rate for 1967. I think the reason is that many people kept them much like the 1967 $1 series. Many years back i came across a bag containing about 90 1967 25¢ pieces. They were all very heavily circulated and don't grade better than VG-8.

Picked up 10 pennies today as change from Wendy's in North York...LOL.

I managed to get an HAJ earlier this year. I will continue hanging onto it. Though many say these 5's are hard to find, they seem to be widely available here in Quebec. I have seen quite a few HAFs and HAGs. One purchase earlier this year, i got 3 fives all were of macklem-carney.

  Well it's been a while since I last searched through some rolls of nickels, actually rolls of any coins to be honest but I found some time and decided to search some.  I picked up 40$ worth of nickels.  I found:

Pre 1981: 11 + 1 1961  12 sided nickel
1982-2000: 32

American: 5

2000 P: 2

  The amount of pre 1981 nickels was low though finding the 2 2000 P made up for it I guess. 

  I was quite surprised at the low amount of pre 1981, I would usually get on average 3-4 per roll as late as last year.  Though this could just be an out of the ordinary-slightly lower than usual batch.

  I got really lucky today and got a 1941 nickel in change from the corner store! 

  It's been a while since I got a coin with a king on it in change, I didn't even have to search any rolls to get it.  Always check your change folks! 

  Hi everyone!  I picked up 60$ in nickels this week and this is what I got:

Pre 1981: 30 + 5x1964  1x1962  2x1960  1x1942 (nickel not tombac)
1982-2000: 79

American: 14 + 1x1964  1x1962 D  1x1942 (cupronickel not silver)

2000 P: 3

  Both 1942 coins came from the same roll which I found cool.  Overall I'd say it was a very successful hunt in terms of older coins found.

I had a fantastic day at the bank today...Picked up some nickel dollars and fifty cent pieces but also a nice load of banknotes!

$1000 bill 1988
2 x EFA multicoloured $50s both have writing on them
5 x 1979 $20 with one "516" replacement!  Too bad it's the one with a huge teller stamp and writing on it!
