Hi all,

I managed to pick up a HUGE lot from a local bank today.  Not only did I score lots of 50 cent and nickel dollars, I managed to get SILVER coins at face too!

Check it out:

1976 Olympic $5 and $10 coins PLUS a 2012 $20 reindeer coin .9999 Ag.

Obverse:

Reverse:

Nickel Dollars:
4 x 1968
4 x 1969
1 x 1971, 73, 75, 79, 81

50 Cents:
Cameo:  1985, 1989

6 x 1968
6 x 1969
7 x 1970
2 x 1972
7 x 1973
2 x 1976
2 x 1977
2 x 1979
1 x 1980
3 x 1981
1 x 1983
3 x 1986
1 x 1987
2 x 1997
1 x 2001
1 x 2002
1 x 2005, 06, 07, 08

This is the same bank that I had earlier scored a huge batch of 50 cent pieces and nickel dollars.  I think it's the same person bringing them in, but I can't figure out why someone would let silver coins go at face value.

Here is a shot of the whole pick up from today:

Happy hunting, there is lots of neat stuff out there begging to be found...by me  :)

Great score Dean.. I think I would be going to that bank once a week if I were you... sounds like it's a little bit of a honey hole.

Never thought I'd get excited about finding the 12-sided nickels or "young Queen" nickels...They used to be easier to find, but time is marching on...

I have seen only 5c and 10c here in Toronto.

Not seen any $1 and $2 toonies. Don't know about the others. Seen a lot of $1-2014 Lucky Loonies.

Wonder what paper money would say if it could talk?

Its possible that the regular loon dollar has not been circulated yet. As for all other den. they are all in circulation.

Forget 2014 - I have hardly found the 2013 toonie. In fact I would say the 2013 toonie for me has been more uncommon than the 2012 old style toonie in our area.

Yes, the 2014 $2 are in circulation. I have one. As for the 2013, they're not easy to find. I'm anxious to see how many the RCM actually minted of these. I expect a mintage to be around 3,000,000.

Yes!  Got a 2012 old style toonie in change today!  First one that I have found from circulation!  ;D

Now if only I can find the old style loonie as well  >:(

For 2014 coins, I've only seen the quarter and the lucky loonie so far.  Weird since I usually see nickels, dimes and quarter in February/March and then the loonies and toonies April/May.
