Many of the forum members may be familiar with the information that is contained in this article titled:

The Science of Printing Currency - Graphic Arts - May 2013

It provides a general overview of the printing of notes at Bureau of Engraving and Bank of Canada Printers.

It appears to be based on "stock" information but it is good to see it compiled in one place.

I found it interesting to see that lot more details are available about printing at the Bureau of Engraving than at the Bank of Canada printers e.g. US note offset lithography is used on both sides simultaneously, Canada??

In posting this topic I wondered if there should be a forum for readings etc. that may serve as reference and could be accessed from one place.


Wonder what paper money would say if it could talk?
