An interesting story to tell all of ye:

I have a friend of mine who is a respite worker of mine, and he shared an interesting fact with me - his aunt's father owned one of the boats pictured on the "old-old" 1975 $100 bill!  :o

One of the boats, whom I will try to get her name as soon as possible, was one of the "floating restaurants" in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.

More information will follow later this week...

i have a couple of 1975 $100's in my collection. I love the picture on the back... the bank of Canada did a great job designing that series!  ;)

It's great when a scene on a banknote comes to life for you.  For me, it happened when I saw the RCMP musical ride and at one point in the show they did the exact formation that is on the back of the '75 $50 bill.  It was awesome!!

THIS JUST IN...

I just found out today from my respite worker that the boat that his aunt's father once owned is pictured on the far left on the back of the 1975 $100 bill.  He also believes that the boat may have been the sister ship of the Bluenose.  He thinks that it may have possibly been built at around the same time as the Bluenose.

However, I still don't know the name of the ship, but he said he might call his aunt in the near future to find out.  Stay tuned....
