Don't forget to add your notes to the SNDB please!  It should be able to accept the new notes right away.  The only thing the SNDB doesn't capture well will be the signatures, so please post that information here until we can get it narrowed down.

Thanks

Scotiabank's main commercial branch in Vancouver failed me for the first time today - no new notes on the day of issue. They said to try again next week.

I tried another bank, no luck either, but I got a chuckle when the teller asked me "Oh, you mean those new polyamorous bills?"

No luck at my bank today, but the teller said they would be getting the fives next Wednesday and that there would be a bundle of 100 with my name on it!  :)

CIBC's main Toronto branch told me they had them - but they weren't allowed to give them out? (This was at 4:45pm)

Scotiabank said they had some - but none left when I went at 4:50pm.

RBC had nothing.

All in all, a disappointing day.  :-[

They probably were not allowed to give them out yet because the CIBC branch had to clear out the existing supply of Journey $5s and $10s before they start giving out the Polymers.

Scotiabank said they had some - but none left when I went at 4:50pm.

Sounded like the Polymers went like hot cakes at Scotiabank.

RBC had nothing.

I guess it goes to show how new versions of the smaller denominations are so popular on the first days of issue, so popular, they go like hot cakes.  I'd say, when enough are in circulation, the "going like hot cakes" will fizzle out.

As for Dean's reply about his branch's getting the new $5s next Wednesday, I have a gut feeling that that's an indicator that $10 bills go so slow, and in many banks across the nation, the banks will probably see the new $5's before they see the new $10s.

If only the banks impose limits on how many of the new bills they can give out per customer, that way every customer will have a fair chance to get the new bills.

The cash machines in Scotia Plaza are stocked with the new $10s. Got a bunch from different machines, all FTCs.

RBC's Toronto main branch also has them this morning. HBK prefix, Poloz signature.

Managed to get a full BOC bundle - nothing special.

Many banks don't have the $10 (makes sense as they're rarely ordered), but the Scotia machines that stock $10s are already switched over to the polymers.

I've updated the SNDB to accept FEW-FEZ as polymer notes, and I've put in an unconfirmed changeover at HBH for the new signatures.  Official changeover information may take some time to obtain.  The unconfirmed changeover may also shift around as notes are discovered.

Please remember to add your notes to the SNDB and send in scans if requested.  Thanks!
