Found this note in a box I had put away some years ago.

I was wondering where that one ended up.  Can you bring it to the Waterloo meeting next week please?

Was hoping to see you at South Wellington last Wed. Will bring to Waterloo. Have another note started with Tom Rogers signature. Maybe we can get a note circulating again.

What's the story behind this? I've been on these boards since 2003 and this is the first I have heard of this

I am working on identifying the various signatures.

Here are a few signatures that I cannot make heads nor tails of.  If you can read them, or if you are the person who signed it, please contact me.

So a little back story here... Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, a forum member named eastguy signed a $1 note and sent it to another forum member in a different land far, far away.

You can read about this early thoughts here and a few of the note's early travels here.

At some point, it stopped traveling and was thought lost, until just recently when it resurfaced.  It has gathered a couple more signatures lately and will continue circulating, along with its successor, for at least the next little while.

I believe Hudson is from Edmonton (he was @ CNA 2006 meeting - I have a photo to prove it) & I'm wondering about Roland for top Right?  I have a couple photos if you want me to post.

Hudson did sign the note, but his signature is easily identified and not one of the six above.

For Roland however, I believe you are correct in that his is the one at the top-right above in Chinese.

Would anyone like to tell the story for those of us who don't know anything about this?

The story is linked to in one of my posts above.  In fact, you even replied in one of those threads way back in 2006.

Hudson's signature is on the back at the top.   ;)

Brent... my memory may be faulty, but didn't we sign this note during our covert trip to Ottawa and the Bank of Canada Currency Museum?
That was a fun time.... I remember stopping to visit Paul Wallis,  the speeding ticket, getting into a fight with the parking lot attendant, Dunn's Pastrami sandwich, and seeing
some very interesting   :-X undocumented  :-X notes in the museum's vault.
