I would like to (briefly) add my own two cents following the official announcement.
I believe that we have found the best possible outcome for everyone involved. For me, I get a weight lifted off my shoulders, one which has been getting increasingly heavy over the last few years. The Canadian numismatic community is the real winner here though, in particular you, the ones reading this message, as you get to continue to benefit from this website and what it has become since Paul Wallis founded it over 15 years ago.
I am excited about this change of ownership. It's been all I could do over the last little while not to spill the beans and tell people all about it! When I made the decision to shut down the site, it was a dark day personally, but once I started talking with the new owner, the sun shone again. Their new focus, energy and commitment to the future of this site is infectious and promising. The progress they've made in such a short time is testimony enough!
My future here will be more quiet. I am not going anywhere, but I will no longer have any official role or capacity. I am just another member now.
Please join me in congratulating our new administrator on this new beginning. I hope that you use this opportunity to show your support by spreading the word that the Canadian Paper Money Forums are open for business and are the premier place for collectors to hang out.
