This note was lent to me by a co-worker to find out information on.
Top note is the printing error, bottom one is to compare

There has been no other GHF notes close to this number inputted in SNDB yet.

Something to watch for in that range.

I have a nagging feeling that the note in question is a counterfeit.

In the metllic strip, the genuine note shows irridescence in the letters and digits (they appear blue green) whereas on the top note, the letters are barely visible.

Also, the holographic portrait on Mackenzie King appears on the bottom note and I cannot see it on the top note.

Thoughts?

Wow, that’s very cool.
I am not sure how a polymer note is inked, but if the note in question is in fact a counterfeit, it’s a very good fake. The raised braille dots look right, and I do see some iridescence on the back of note. I would like to see a better picture of the metallic strip, particularly the holographic portrait.
Thank you for sharing.

I do not believe that this note is a counterfeit.  I have seen two other notes with the same error for sale before.

Here is another example with AMF prefix.  This error is listed in the new catalogue as "Incomplete colour over primer (polymer)" and an example is shown with catalogue # BC-72b-E1-x (page 399) - "Market value not established".
