Waterloo Coin Society
Souvenir Treasury Notes

The Waterloo Coin Society is proud to announce the release of its new SOUVENIR TREASURY NOTES!

These beautiful collectibles are the result of months of work and preparation and are finally available for sale.

Visit our website at waterloocoinsociety.com/stn.php for more details about these phenomenal notes and to get yours today!

The $2 and $5 notes honour influential club members Bruce Raszmann and Bill English, as well as celebrating the local area's history and the heritage of the first pioneers to arrive here.

The notes themselves feature multiple symbolic elements and other features that make them look and feel like real banknotes.  You'll find microprinting, Eurion circles and linen-textured paper just to name a few.

On Tuesday January 10, 2023, this project was unveiled at the Waterloo Coin Society's monthly meeting with special guests Member of Parliament Mike Morrice for Kitchener Centre and David Bergeron, Curator of the National Currency Collection at the Bank of Canada Museum.  They each received a set of specimen notes in thanks for their participation. David accepted a donation on behalf of the National Currency Collection of a full set of Souvenir Treasury Notes as well as a 35th Anniversary Currency note from 1994.

In addition, all paid-up members of the Waterloo Coin Society for 2023, as well as all new members this year, will get a FREE set of specimen notes as our special gift.

While Bruce Raszmann has been unavailable for the last several years (rest in peace, sir!), Bill English was on-hand for the unveiling and was even happy to autograph a number of notes for collectors.
