A client of mine has had a bag of UK coins for several years and when I told them I collect currency, they gave it to me, no cost, so I thought I would share some photos.  I know nothing about foreign coins but love the look of some of these.  I can not believe Brits had to carry this WEIGHT around with them!!!!!

They also gave me a 2010 Bank of England Fifty Pound note which was probably UNC when it left the UK and got bent/creased along the way because of its size and being kept in a envelope that was too small for it.

Coins in the pile are:

1  x One Penny 1998
2  x Five Pence 1992,  2013
5  x Ten Pence 1992 x 2, 1998, 2013, 2016
10 x Twenty Pence 1982 x 2, 1983, 2000, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016
5 x Fifty Pence 2001, 2005, 20012, 2015, 2019
14 x One Pound 2016 x 7, 2017 x 6, 2017 x 1
1 x Two Pound 1999

4 x 20 Cent Euro Coins
1999, 2001 France
2019 Italy
2021 Germany

1 x 1 Euro Coin 2003 Portugal

Cheers, Breanna

This £50 note ceased to be legal tender on 30-Sep-2022. But it can still be exchanged at certain UK Post Offices. There is no deadline to exchange.

The £50 is a very nice gift. It's value in CDN is around $85.

Thanks for that.  My foreign currency section seems to be growing through no effort of my own.

Thanks WTTW.  They are over-the-top generous.  I'm very fortunate our worlds collided!!!
