Hello CPMF,
I am looking for three bank notes issued in the early 1800’s by the Bank of Upper Canada in Kingston. (This is not the other well-known bank domiciled in York/Toronto). Charlton lists this Kingston bank as #765. It existed for three years and issued two groups of notes. The first group are hard to find and the second are more common.
I am looking for these three notes:
765-10-06 $5 1819 no overprint
765-12-04 $2 1820 no overprint
765-12-06 $3 1820 no overprint
I have four extra notes from this bank to trade if that helps as part of a deal.
We see some notes from this bank on eBay, however, they are mistakenly identified because it is clear that they have the overprint “Payable at the Bank of Canada in Montreal”.
Please let me know if you have any of these notes to sell or want to trade.
