Hi,

I'm new to the forum and I would like your opinion on the value of theses bills. I have inherited of theses bills from my mother and they were stored in a safe at the bank.

#BC-60D (I think)
Serial Number : BJS6464100 to BJS6464199
Grade : UNC (from what i think)
1988 Knight-Dodge

Thanks a lot,

Michael

The latest Charlton Catalogue that I have in my possession states $140 in Unc.  However, you'd be hard pressed to find any collector willing to pay that or even any premium at all, even-less-so for a whole bundle.  Even acquired at face value, I don't know of too many collectors who would be willing to eat the yearly depreciation to hold on to it.

Modern note collectors are usually looking for specific serial ranges or other anomalies.  The high denomination mostly kills any interest for run-of-the-mill notes like these.  That being said, it's an exciting find as you don't see full bundles of birds $100s very often anymore!

Hi,
It's a good bundle! This is hard to find a bundle of 100$.Do you take a look inside the bundle,if you have a differente prefix it should be a replacement(insert). The only bad things it's a bundle of regular prefix,no radar and it's a 100$ they not have a lot of poeple who collect a high denomination. If you can not sell the bundle in one time maybe sell some separatly.

Wow!  This is an amazing bundle!
You might consider consigning it to an auction because there are collectors out there who would be interested in the entire bundle.
Whatever you do, please don't return these bills to the bank!  They should be saved.

Hi there,

This is amazing find, I would not take these back to the bank.  No doubt, if you consign these banknotes to a reputable dealer, you could realize from $12000 to $15000.  The problem is that people, just like collectors, are short of cash these days due to high cost of living.  If you can sit on these, the returns will get better year after year.

My thoughts, Whitenite

No offense whitenite, but that's the worst advice ever.  This bundle could have bought 20+ ounces of gold in the early 2000s when it was issued.  Now that's less than 3.  In another decade or so I'd wager it won't even be worth a single gold ounce.

If OP has an interest in Canadian Paper Money he could go to a coin show and trade that bundle for a very nice Chartered Bank note or Dominion of Canada note that might actually gain in value over time.  Holding on to common high denomination notes is one of the worst investment you could possibly dream of.

I'm as excited as the rest of you guys to see this but let's get real here.  If OP can get any premium at all on any part of this bundle, he would be well-advised to take it!
