That is just pathetic. I can't believe first of all that Best Buy would have the nerve to threaten this man with calling the police if he didn't come in and pay his bill, which by the way was waived because of a previous mix-up.
Now when he pays in perfectly legal, authentic American currency, he is shackled like a wanted felon in front of many other members of his community and taken away.
Best Buy should be ashamed of what happened. I'm sure that man can sue the company and get quite a pile for defamation of character and such.
Nonetheless, I will continue to pay with $1 and $2 bills whenever I can. At the moment, I happen to have only about 3-4 spender $1s left, and no $2s, but next chance I get to pick up a bunch at face value, I'll do it and spend them until they're gone. The amazed reactions that I get out of people are exciting and it spreads around some awareness of paper money and collecting it.
