Most of you at some point have seen a 2006 $5 Mismatched Prefix/Serial Number Error note (see attached images).
It appears that one brick (qty. 1000) of these notes was released into circulation. During the printing process the error transforms from a BC-67a-E14-iii Prefixes and Digits Mismatched Error (AOZ10.../BPZ00...) to a BC-67a-E14-iv Prefixes and Digits Mismatched, One Prefix Letter Missing Error (AOZ10.../_PZ00...).
All notes that I have recorded to date have plate numbers 71/83. I am trying to determine the exact changeover serial number for this particular error series.
Currently I have images of AOZ1086397/BPZ0086397 (2025 Charlton Catalogue Image) and AOZ1086564/_PZ0086564 as the highest/lowest for each of these error variants. Any assistance that CPMF members could provide to help determine the exact changeover serial number would be appreciated. Please post images of notes that you may have between the serial numbers ...86397 and ...86564.
